Finned tubes for solar and heating technology
Tubes with enhanced outside surfaces for improved heat transfer are components of innovative heating systems. It is unthinkable to produce compact heat exchangers without them at a reasonable price.
Wieland GEWA-D copper or copper-nickel-finned tubes with medium-high fins are reliable elements for the production of heat exchangers to warm drinking or heating water. It is well known that copper is one of the most reliable material for drinking water installations. Thanks to extraordinary ductility of copper, finned tubes can be bend and wound to extremely compact heat exchangers.
Extremely large outside surfaces, achieved by very high and slender fins, are outstanding features of Wieland GEWA-H finned tubes. Therefore they are recommended for use in gas-fired boilers. Aluminum high-fin tubes are known for years as a specialty in condensing technology. Due to excellent corrosion resistance of aluminum towards acid condensation water, long-life heat exchangers for condensing equipment can be developed and produced with high fin tubes.
