Position: Mechanical Engineer (Equipment)
-Reporting to Asst. Manager Equipment
Major Responsibilities
- Responsible for all machinery and installations in the production.
- Responsible for all the operational efficiency of the production processes.
- In-charge of maintenance functions, equipment upgrading.
- Supervision and discipline of facility maintenance within the operations.
- Responsible for preventive maintenance action to ensure facilities are in good condition (Cooling towers, pumps, air compressors, power supply, DI-water supply, generator, etc)
- Responsible for preventive maintenance action like daily check of Oil level,CO2 level of Rolling machine, follow up greasing schedule and monitor conditions and parameters of the machines.
- In charge of plant building maintenance, conduct monthly maintenance of certain facilities.
- Monitor inspections and arrange regular testing of cranes, slings, lifting equipment and etc.
- Compilation and control of maintenance schedules and records.
- Initiating and discipline of pro-active maintenance.
- Lead the mechanical team of Asst. Engineers and Technicians.
- Responsible for the implementation of new production processes/equipment.
- Responsible for supply of process specifications for new equipment.
- Organize and conduct on-the-job training program for production staff.
Main Requirements
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience or NTC / Nitec with minimum 5 – 8 years of relevant experience.
- Sound knowledge in mechanics, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Intermediate knowledge in welding; basic machining skills; ability to draw, read and understand engineering drawings.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Proficient English skills.
- Strong and positive personality with hands-on attitude, good inter-personal skills.
- Ability to work on weekends, stand-by when required.
- Good communication skills and team player.
