Position: Waste Water Treatment Technician

-Reporting to Assistant Manager, Equipment Engineering

Major Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain, monitor the water/ waste water facilities.
• Able to ensure water and waste are treated in accordance to specification.
• Knowledge of electroplating technology and manufacturing process in relation to water/ waste treatment problem both chemically and mechanically.
• Troubleshooting of waste water treatment facilities.
• Tends pumps, conveyors, blowers, chlorinators, vacuum filters and other equipment used to treat wastewater.
• Set up and maintain local networks with suppliers.
• Lubricates pumps, valves and other equipment; repairs parts where necessary.
• Maintains the surrounding grounds.
• Requisitions supplies and materials.
• Maintain records and prepare reports relative to the work.
• Support general plant facilities.

Main Requirements

• NITEC / Higher NITEC
• At least 2 year of working experience in operation/ maintenance of waste water treatment equipment.
• Able to work independently and positive attitude.
• Able to work on shift.
• Good communication skills.
• Basic knowledge in Microsoft Office.
• SAP knowledge is an advantage.
